1.  DELIVERS THE BEST PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
AVAILABLE

Radiopharmacy, Inc. is staffed by registered radiopharmacists with
advanced education, training and experience in the preparation,
distribution, and pharmacology of radiopharmaceuticals.  Our
pharmacists always stand ready to answer your questions, research
requested information, and immediately respond to any problems
that may arise.
Parenteral radiopharmaceuticals are compounded using aseptic
techniques inside sterile laminar flow hoods.  Like many other
injectable drugs, radiopharmaceutical kits are capable of supporting
bacterial growth.  Adherence to strict aseptic procedures to assure sterility is very important.  To satisfy
the highest quality standards and regulatory requirements, quality control test results on patient doses are
supplied to your department daily.
Our pharmacists also have experience writing research protocols, and procuring, preparing, and
dispensing investigational radio-pharmaceuticals.  Utilizing the radiopharmacy can help your department
offer the newest, most progressive therapies and diagnostic tests.
Radiopharmacy, Inc.’s services are designed to allow you to offer your patients the most complete line
of the highest quality products possible.
2.  ENABLES MOST EFFICIENT USE OF RESOURCES

Our services help maximize your department's overall efficiency and thus,
improve patient satisfaction and your profitability.
The widest variety of products is available for immediate delivery, so
physicians do not have to wait until the following day to begin a procedure or
worry about product availability.
Dose preparation, labeling, QC, disposal, and record keeping is performed at
the radiopharmacy, so technologists are free to concentrate fully on
performing studies and delivering quality patient care.
Radiopharmacy, Inc. invoices only once a month, so office personnel deal with
much less paperwork.
Your drug cost per patient is fixed and remains constant even when your patient load changes, so
administrators are able to budget for costs and revenues much more accurately.  Radiopharmacy's services
are designed to provide your patients with the best care and to save you time (time=$).
3.  LOWERS RADIATION EXPOSURE -- go to Radiopharmacy's regulatory page

Users of radioactive materials are required to make every reasonable effort to maintain
radiation exposures as low as reasonably achievable (ALARA).  Radiation exposure, and the
threat of radiation exposure, to your employees, patients and the general public is greatly reduced
by using the radiopharmacy. The single largest source of radiation, the Mo99/Tc99m Generator,
is completely eliminated. Each individual unit dose from Radiopharmacy, Inc. is delivered in a
leaded, leak-proof container.
4.  OFFERS IMMEDIATE, SAME-DAY DELIVERY OF PRODUCTS

Radiopharmacy, Inc. stocks extra product each day so you don't
have to.  It is not unusual for orders to be placed after a manufacturer's cut off
time, or for requests that a procedure be performed that same day.  When
buying direct from a manufacturer, you must wait until at least the next day.
Keeping extra material on hand for anticipated use is very expensive; ordering
an extra dose for unexpected orders increases the cost of that dose at least 20%.
Most importantly, same-day product availability prevents your department from
having to inconvenience patients and referring physicians, and possibly lose
business.
5.  MAINTAINS CONTINUOUS AND IMMEDIATE PHARMACY
SERVICES

The radiopharmacists and staff of Radiopharmacy, Inc. are here every day
of the year to immediately tend to your needs.  A radiopharmacist is as
close as a phone call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
6.  OFFERS THE BEST PRODUCTS FROM ALL SOURCES

By keeping active accounts with all manufacturers, Radiopharmcy, Inc. is able to negotiate
the lowest prices from each.  No single manufacturer offers a completeline, or all of the
best available products.  Therefore, nuclear medicine departments require access to
products from multiple manufactures. Radiopharmacy, Inc. serves as the one-call source
for all products.
Using our knowledge and experience in pharmacy and nuclear medicine, we are able to
offer unbiased evaluations of products and procedures.  Radiopharmacy, Inc. is not owned
or affiliated with any one manufacturer.

7.  DISPENSES PATIENT SPECIFIC PRESCRIPTIONS

Radiopharmacy, Inc.’s unit dose (single patient) pricing allows you to know
exactly what the drug expense will be for each patient.  Individual patient prescriptions are invoiced at the
end of each month with a summary of your monthly activity.  Each individual patient dose comes with a
prescription copy that facilitates approval for third party reimbursement
(Go to Radiopharmacy's
reimbursement page).   In contrast to buying the raw materials from a manufacturer and preparing the drugs
yourself, the radiopharmacy dispenses individual prescriptions ready for administration to your patients.
Such prescriptions are guaranteed by a registered pharmacy to meet all required federal and state standards
for quality, purity, sterility, and labeling.

8.  RETRIEVES RADIOACTIVE WASTE

Radiopharmacy, Inc. retrieves all radioactive and biohazardous waste resulting
from injections within your nuclear imaging department.  This not only saves you
the direct cost of paying someone to dispose of your radioactive and biohazardous
waste, but also the more expensive indirect costs associated with staying abreast
of the myriad of regulations, or hiring a consultant to do so; of storing your waste
on site and paying a technologist to oversee your waste disposal program; and of
assuming the full liability of storing and handling radioactive and biohazardous
waste.
9.  GREATLY SIMPLIFIES REQUIRED PAPERWORK

The imposing amount of record keeping required by regulatory agencies for the receipt, handling, quality
control, dispensing, and disposal of radioactive materials and pharmaceuticals is greatly simplified by using
the radiopharmacy.  Again, this not only saves you the direct cost of generating and maintaining all these
records, but also relieves some of the liability you may incur during regulatory audits.
10. PRESCRIPTIONS ARE EXEMPT FROM SALES TAX

Because Radiopharmacy, Inc. is a pharmacy licensed by State Boards of Pharmacy, all doses dispensed are on
a prescription basis and therefore exempt from sales tax.
11. SUPPORTS LOCAL ECONOMY AND COMMUNITY

Because Radiopharmacy, Inc. is a locally owned and operated business, the money you spend stays in our
communities.   Money spent with Radiopharmacy, Inc. is recycled back into our communities and back into
your patients' pockets over and over again.  Radiopharmacy, Inc. creates jobs, pays local taxes, supports
other local businesses, and sponsors educational seminars and social functions for the benefit our
community.
12. REDUCES RISK

Risk management is an important part of your overall quality assurance and cost
containment programs.  Doses prepared, labeled and dispensed by a licensed
pharmacy include additional quality checks before radiopharmaceuticals are
administered to your patients.  Using the radio-pharmacy also reduces the risk
that your staff, your patients, and the public will be exposed to unnecessarily
high radiation levels from stored radioactivity.  In addition, Radiopharmacy’s
waste retrieval service greatly reduces the risk that anyone will be exposed to
biohazardous waste generated in your nuclear medicine department.  Effective
risk management is essential to the clinical and financial integrity of any
department.
